Passed away May 23, 2010, Pentecost Sunday. People had been sitting with him for a couple of days, and though his death was peaceful, it came after a long period of suffering.

Of New England Province, all students of Lonergan know or know of Joe. Born in 1925, entered the Society in 1948, he was a colleague and friend of Bernard Lonergan, and made great contributions to the Lonergan movement, and was a mentor to many.

He died of a heart attack Friday, May 14, 2010, may he rest in peace.
